Herpy.nu is now closed and archived - will be replaced by something new and better.

Herpy has had a good 13 year run and will never be forgotten for those of us who experienced it. Sadly the site is today unappealing and is no longer fit for the audience of 2018. The gallery will remain operational until further notice. You can follow me on Twitter for further developments. We also have a Discord server which has become the heart of the community. If you wish to join it, send me a PM over Twitter.

Kind regards,
Valcyrie

Re: Last Man Posting

I don't have the time or money to pick up marksmanship as a hobby. Just dropped 500 U.S dollars on a board game, so my expendable funds are nil until my next couple paychecks... I gotta be smarter with my money.

Re: Last Man Posting

I was never good at knife throwing. The whole "learning the rotations" thing was too much for me. I just gave up and bought a throwing star.

Re: Last Man Posting

That's pretty cool. I've seen a lot of unicycling vids, and some of those people are ridiculous. I never learned how to ride one. I think the only dexterity-based activity I'm proficient in is flipping a balisong. They're illegal in most places over here, but it's a great way to pass the time.

Re: Last Man Posting

Eh. I'll stick to eSports. I think it's just because that's the stuff I play now. I stopped playing basketball and American football a while ago, so it doesn't capture my interest anymore. Now, Hearthstone, on the other hand, will gain my full attention.

Re: Last Man Posting

It's because, back in the 19th century, football became distinguishable from rugby by illegalizing many of the uses of hands that rugby permitted. The then uncommon lack of hand-player contact spawned the term "rugby football" and the name evolved with the game... at least, I think that's how it wen...

Re: Last Man Posting

Well, eSports are sports. They get P1A visas for international tournaments. They need to be physically prepared, and able to utilize their insane reflexes. They need to study game plans and plays. They're sponsored by noteworthy companies. They're athletes.

Re: Last Man Posting

Yeah. Over here, it's American football, and baseball. The same thing applies. People will pay a hundred bucks to sit down in a hard plastic chair and watch a game being played eighty yards away. I'm not hugely into sporting events, so the whole "watching them live" thing doesn't appeal to me, but I...

Re: Last Man Posting

It depends. I can watch terrible piles of trash like Birdemic and The Room, because ineptitude is funny to me when it hits a certain degree. Watching people fail in this particular regard is entertaining, which is weird, because they set out to entertain people, and didn't succeed, yet still DID suc...

Re: Last Man Posting

Well, you can observe the craft for the sheer pleasure of it, though I can see your point wholly. The amount of personal preference mixed with the objective quality of every movie that someone like you (educated in the art of theatrics) plainly sees in every work of film. I can personally say that, ...
