Best FPS Game and Computer Specs!

Post by Matoegos » September 28th, 2016, 6:29 pm

In my opinion, the best first person shooter is Counter Strike: Global Offensive. I'm overly obsessed with it. My favourite skin is the AWP Asiimov, which is the best skin in my inventory,
My full PC Specs are:

CPU: Intel i7-4770K 3.9GHz (Cooled with an Intel BXTS13X Liquid Cooler)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H rev 1.0
GPU 1: MSI GeForce GTX 960 100 Million Edition (OC'ed to 1400MHz Core Clock)
GPU 2: Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 270X (yes, I have and AMD/NVidia hybrid. Thank God for Vulkan!)
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1600MHz
OS 1: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
OS 2: Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 (I run a Hackintosh with the Clover r3880 boot loader)

What is your favourite FPS game and what is your main rig specs?

Best regards,

- Matt

I am an Overwatch fanboy. Can't get enough of it ever since I got it. I love the competitive style of shooter that it is, having a lot of interweaving strategies from a well-designed team composition all the way to the skill of the player. Having an array of heroes to choose from--different classes and specializations too--makes the game fun and interesting to continue playing. ^-^

I'd put my PC specs down, but I have a very old rig not worth telling. =P

The only thing worthwhile is the graphics card, which is a GTX 950.

I literally just started PC gaming (seriously, I JUST got my PC 4 months ago), for the first time since...shit, 2002/2003. So I don't have that many FPS games for it. Hell, the first thing I did was buy a shit ton of horror games. :P FPS games were the last things on my mind. But out of the ones I did get, Fallout New Vegas is, and always will be, my favorite FPS of all time (no mater the system I get it on, but now I can mod it! :3).

My PC specs are:

Computer Case: DIYPC VT380-W White SPCC ATX Mid Tower
Motherboard: MSI Gaming B150 M3
CPU: Intel Skylake i7-6700K 4.0 GHz
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master GeminII M4
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW Edition
RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2133
PSU: EVGA 750W GQ 80+ GOLD
SSD: Radeon R3 120GB
HDD: Seagate Constellation 2TB 7200RPM
Audio: Sound Blaster Z Gaming Card
OS: Windows 10 64Bit

What do you guys think of my cable management ?
P_20161028_154029[1].jpg
build is from 2012 (2013 ?)
SSD, oversize heatsink, i7 3770K overclocked from 3.5 to 4.4GHz (life is short, can't spend it compiling), 16GB ram, and a mid-range geforce slapped to it as an afterthought, just so I can plug 2560*1440 screens

Said screen having a VA panel, uncool for FPS, I don't play a lot of those, and don't really keep up with new releases.

Most fun I remember having is with the original Painkiller. It has ragdoll physics, metal, and a stake launcher to pin people to walls. Winning team

Woo, just went through some upgrades on my computer. Completely switched out my motherboard for a better one (one that can OC), switched out my CPU heatsink, and switched out my case stock fans for better ones. I also plan to switch out my 16GB 2133 RAM with 32GB 3200 RAM sometime soon.

My new current specs are:

Computer Case: DIYPC VT380-W White SPCC ATX Mid Tower
Motherboard: MSI Z170A Xpower Gaming Titanium Edition
CPU: Intel Skylake i7-6700K 4.0 GHz (OCed to 4.7 GHz)
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW Edition
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200
PSU: EVGA 750W GQ 80+ GOLD
SSD: Radeon R3 120GB
HDD: Seagate Constellation 2TB 7200RPM
Audio: Sound Blaster Z Gaming Card
OS: Windows 10 64Bit

EDIT: Just updated my Ram. ^_^

Complete with pictures this time! :P

I really like the 1080. There's some people on Newegg saying that the 1080 has black screen crashing issues with the fans on it spinning super fast. I never experienced such a thing (and I used the card OCed for over a month).

CSGO is my favourite from FPS genre I generally hate and love it at the same time.

My specs:

Case: Asus G10AC
Mobo: Asus HM87 PLUS
PSU: Some random 500W Asus PSU
CPU: i7 4770 and then there is that pathetic stock cooler cooling it... going to change that someday.
GPU: MSI gtx 1070 Gaming X 8G
RAM: 16gb dual at 1333MHz DDR3 (Manuf) ASint Technology
HDD: Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM
SSD: Samsung SSD EVO750 500GB
OS: Windows 10 Home 64Bit
Monitors:
1: Acer X222W 60Hz Clocked at 75Hz
2: Samsung SyncMaster TA550 60Hz

This PC was prebuilt because back then i didn't have any knowledge about computers (about 3 years ago).I have changed the gpu (gtx770) and got an SSD in there from the original recently.
