Herpy.nu is now closed and archived - will be replaced by something new and better.

Herpy has had a good 13 year run and will never be forgotten for those of us who experienced it. Sadly the site is today unappealing and is no longer fit for the audience of 2018. The gallery will remain operational until further notice. You can follow me on Twitter for further developments. We also have a Discord server which has become the heart of the community. Have you ever told anyone about your love/lust for dragons? (Possibly NSFW)

Post by DrachenFyr » November 14th, 2016, 7:16 pm

There was a similar thread back on old Herpy that I found interesting to read, so I’m bringing up the subject again. Does anyone else know about your love for dragons? Maybe even how much you love them?

Personally, the family I’m in touch with know I love dragons, probably because of all of the sculptures I buy...they don’t know of my lust for them though, and I intend to keep it that way.
Aim high in life, but watch out for flying boxes.

Several friends of mine -one of them in particular knows it far more than anyone else- and my family know about my love about them. However, no one knows about the lusty part.
The dragon that inhabited my soul left and now it watches over me.

Among my IRL friends, I don't have much to do : there's already a general consensus on dragons being awesome, and that the ones from their Ryuutama rulebook are positively adorable.
As for going «a notch above adorable», well, I figured I didn't feel super-excited about learning what's in my friends porn, and assumed it was reciprocated. I probed the waters with tactical jokes, seems they don't know about our part of the internet. I decided not to enlighten them.

Except the one who's into MLP stuff, and open about that. He knows the place already, so, might as well tell him.

But hey, it's not like me to be subtle.
So I set my phone background to a curvy dragoness sprawled on her back, barely anthropomorphized so no one can mistake the picture as not erotic. Just curious to see how people who mess with my phone would react.
That doesn't happen too much, so I got only two people so far.

One was a coworker, back when I was in london. Turned out he just happens to be a scalie as well, and figured I got the picture from the Herpy gallery
For real. What were the odds ?
Also, got to talk him out of the pro-Varka propaganda, so there's that.

The other is my mother. I know she saw it, but she never mentioned it.
She's always been worried about my difficulties to socialize. For her, I guess it's just a part of the puzzle she has no idea what to make of.

Yeah... one of my friends knows of my habits. The rest are aware I am part of the furry community (although only two of them truely knows what that really means), but only one of them knows I'm scalie.

My one RL friend knows I'm on the fringe of the furry community, but I've not gone into any detail about things and I plan to keep it that way. I'm very private about things in general offline, more so with things others wouldn't understand or approve of. Everyone knows I love dragons and dinos and most reptiles. I'm the weird friend/cousin/niece. XP

Probably a weak part of my character, don't know if my friends have noticed that, but I care a lot about what people will react. I seem pretty carefree, but there's another level going on. A facade really. So no and I probably won't reveal it unless one of my friends turns out to be a furry or something.

Well it's not like I'm bragging about it, but I don't make this a big secret either.
My friends know, and they do send me nice pic or two of dragonesses every now and then.

Well pretty much everyone whose acquainted with me knows I'm 'obsessed' with dragons since I like to doodle them so frequently. I'm sure some of the more internet savvy ones suspect there's something extra to it.

I also tend to make pretty explicit jokes whenever I get drunk so a lot of my closer friends have figured out more intimate details. So far they're all pretty cool with it. One of my friends even asked to see some of the porn I've drawn >.>

For me, initially, when I was younger, I was very subtle as a person, and didn't really speak to people much in general, (especially not about sexual topics, leading to most believing I was asexual) asides from my very close friends. My psychiatrist ended up prescribing me anti-depressant/anxiety medication, which was really effective, but also had the side effect of making me really... Relaxed, calm and open about things...

Initially when I started on the medication, one of my closest friends at the time (who is still a very close friend) started to notice me talking about dragons a lot, and in unusual ways (for him). This first became apparent when we were talking about our 'dream' partners in the future (in a semi-comical manner), and my choice was a dragon, he didn't really understand, but went along with it. Eventually my meds were upped, and I started telling him... More; he still hadn't really caught on though, until one day our social group was talking about their 'strange fetishes', after which I burst into laughter and told them they had nothing on me, then revealed to them. Someone had actually overheard the conversation, and soon my whole school came to know, I was already seen as eccentric, so it wasn't much of a problem. Then I told them that I was a dragon, which by this point they just accepted... And to this day, pretty much all of my friends know... Come to think of it, it must have been strange for other pupils, listening to me telling my teachers about my pornographic interests, due to 'in-jokes' that some people had made in front of them, and them having very adverse reactions... Then again, they just accepted it as my eccentric nature! So really it fortunately worked out quite well for me, as most of my friends are quite accepting.

Also, sorry for the long comment. :)

Only a few IRL friends know i'm a scalie and well i'm sure they know i enjoy some lusty parts of dragons also but so far none of em have commented on it, I do however have my steam profile public and it has the link to FA and other sites where i have NSFW gallery so meh if they are curious they are always welcome to see. Also i have one coworker who knows i'm getting a fursuit of my sona but then again hes into cosplay himself so he knows what fursuiting is also^^

but i tend to keep my interest in furry fandom to just with online friends or people of the same fandom who enjoy furry/scalie community^^ but who knows maybe some of my gaming friends will stalk my steam profile and find out one day and remove me from friends but meh who cares^^

I can really relate to that first part... not the meds though. Just let it all out here. :D
