Herpy.nu is now closed and archived - will be replaced by something new and better.

Herpy has had a good 13 year run and will never be forgotten for those of us who experienced it. Sadly the site is today unappealing and is no longer fit for the audience of 2018. The gallery will remain operational until further notice. You can follow me on Twitter for further developments. We also have a Discord server which has become the heart of the community. If you wish to join it, send me a PM over Twitter.

Kind regards,

That depends on a movie I guess.

Is it about the quality of them, or you simply grew out of them/don't have the time/other*.......................................................................

Think it’s other since I’m not looking for a film career anymore I’m not as obsessed with observing the craft anymore.🤔

Well, you can observe the craft for the sheer pleasure of it, though I can see your point wholly. The amount of personal preference mixed with the objective quality of every movie that someone like you (educated in the art of theatrics) plainly sees in every work of film. I can personally say that, while I am somewhat picky about what I'll watch, I enjoy film. Still, the level at which I enjoy it is shaky; however, that's the questiom that should REALLY be asked. "How much enjoyment do you get from movies?" I apologize for my original phrasing of the question.

And my answer is again - that depends on a movie.
For instance my all-time favourites are John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1982), Alien&Aliens.
I quite enjoyed "It" remake, Martian, and Blade Runner 2049 (though on the first Blade Runner I've actually fall asleep... )

I enjoy a lot of films even if they’re considered terrible by most! Especially old badly made horror films! Prince of Darkness is a favourite Both Hellboy movies or anything by Tim burtton I usually enjoy. Some of the lesser known ones are interesting. And the just plain daft stuff like ‘I bought a vampire motorcycle!’

I personally have no idea what people see in theese, so-called "fun-bad" movies.
I've tried to watch some of them, and couldn't sit through more nthan fifteen minutes...

I've literally felt my brain start turning into noodles...

Well yeah I know they’re not good films most of the time but they’re funny how badly acted they are, and I like how well the crew cope with non excistent budget actors who are just starting their careers. They’are pretty funny to me having worked with all these aweful people!🤔

I guess.
For me all that amount of cringe is a bit too much to handle...
