Herpy.nu is now closed and archived - will be replaced by something new and better.

Herpy has had a good 13 year run and will never be forgotten for those of us who experienced it. Sadly the site is today unappealing and is no longer fit for the audience of 2018. The gallery will remain operational until further notice. You can follow me on Twitter for further developments. We also have a Discord server which has become the heart of the community. If you wish to join it, send me a PM over Twitter.

Latest post of the previous page:

Depends on party balance and objectives. I see two spellcasters, I'm doing a melee/defendery type. I'm not sure what Xaithis is planning.

I'm a spellcaster/theif. I disable traps as well as other spellcasters.

Hence- spelltheif.

I once asked God for a bike, but I know that's not how God works. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

I was planning an archer/melee attack person. Probably will be a wood elf or something similar.

Hm, that has 2 high DPS and one tank, the best option is possibly me playing a paladin... Possibly multi classing into a caster-type if more healing magic is needed.

Dragonborn aren't level adjusted, so that should be fine, it fits with the race to play as either lawful good or neutral good, as a paladin of Bahamut (or the equivalent deity)...
What are your opinions?

If a cleric or wizard (or other Mage-type) would be more suitable, then I'll happily play a spell caster, as I love the prestige classes!

So also...
Darastrix - Melee/Defense
DragonHunter4321 - Rogue/Caster
Aracth'nil- Ranged/Melee
Is this generally the current layout?
And sorry for the long post!
Typical Session...
PC - "I run towards the lasers!"
Me (DM) - <starts finding a new character sheet>

You don't need to be sorry about the post length... thats good.
And nothing is set in stone for me thus far... I'm going away over the next week and I have to work on my character so things will change. (Maybe)

I'm pretty sure that dragonborn aren't in 3.5 edition. They were a playable race starting in 4th edition. Unless you are looking at some sort of homebrew, the closest that 3.5 had was half-dragon which is most certainly level adjusted.

They are contained within the 3/3.5 e book "Races of the Dragon". They aren't level adjusted, and they have a complete set of rules, however the only alteration that might be necessary is the lore, which will be different for all races since it's a custom setting.

Aww, Val... You're so much cuter than that.... Probably. I mean your avatar is ridiculously better looking.

Dont ask dont tell.

Anyways, I was thinking... do we want to do this post by post on the forum here, or do we want to use a discord channel for direct messages. I don't wanna go into voice chats. If we chat over a discord channel it will be faster and we'll play in sessions that we plan ahead. What are people's opinion on this?

Discord chat is awesome. Forum posting is fine for in between story arcs and character introductions, but for actual gameplay it would be nice to have live conversation and perhaps some sort of dicebot? I could go either way on the chat to be honest, though I feel like it would more than likely descend into OOC banter.

Also sessions wouldn't work anyway. Time zones are too difficult.
